Agustina Bottoni is an Argentine designer based in Milan. After studying fashion in Buenos Aires, she moved into design and established her studio in 2016. Her signature Glass Line uses borosilicate glass made in Italy with local artisans and workshops. She belongs in a Latin American design conversation that also follows creative lives abroad.

A small object can change the table

Start by noticing the relation between a vessel and its contents: the opening, stem, balance and the way light passes through it. Imagine the object on a table you actually use, rather than only in a styled photograph. A considered everyday ritual might be as simple as setting out one beautiful glass and putting the phone elsewhere.

Choose a function before collecting a set

Decide whether you want drinking vessels, a carafe, a vase or a decorative object. Check the intended use and dimensions of the exact product. Do not infer heat resistance, dishwasher suitability or stackability from the word glass. A material name is a starting point for questions, not a substitute for the maker’s care instructions.

Buy with a transport plan

If you are purchasing during a trip, ask for protective packaging and decide how the object will reach home before paying. Compare shipping with carrying it yourself, including replacement arrangements if an item arrives damaged. Leave space around fragile pieces; squeezing one into a full bag can undo the care that went into choosing it.
