Phone Photography at Carnival: One Scene, Three Frames
A phone can tell a stronger story when you stop taking the same picture repeatedly. Try three frames of one scene: a wide view, a closer detail and a moment of human scale. Together they can suggest what a single heavily zoomed image leaves out.
Keep the scene legible
Clean the lens before you begin. Take a wider photograph that shows where the subject sits in the surrounding space, then look for a clear detail. Hold the phone steadily and review a few frames before making more. The aim is a useful sequence, not a competition for the largest camera roll.
Respect the view around you
Keep the screen from becoming a barrier for people behind you. Ask before close portraits where practical, especially when a person is resting rather than performing. Do not label an image with a school or location you have not verified. When the moment becomes beautiful, let yourself see it without a screen as well. The photograph is a reminder, not the entire experience.
