Casa Pestagua Cartagena: Colonial Design and Suite Choices

Casa Pestagua is a Cartagena option for travelers who want the architecture of the old city to continue inside their accommodation. The useful comparison is between the room you need and the suite features you will enjoy, rather than simply the largest space available. Plan some time in the house alongside your city visits and restaurant reservations.
A historic-center address
The hotel presents an eighteenth-century colonial mansion on Calle Santo Domingo, restored in 2022. It lists sixteen rooms and suites within the walled city. This is a city stay, so organize it around time in Cartagena’s historic neighborhoods. A separate beach outing or extension needs its own arrangements instead of being treated as an amenity of a bedroom here.
Compare rooms by the feature you want
The official guide lists Deluxe rooms of 37–47 square meters, a balcony in Suite de Madariaga and a terrace with jacuzzi in Suite Conde de Pestagua. It also says there are no twin-bedded or connecting rooms. Confirm the exact room and sleeping setup before choosing, particularly for friends traveling together or families needing separate spaces.
Make the architecture part of the day
Our suggested city day begins with one focused visit, leaves room for lunch and returns to the hotel before the evening. If the attraction is a balcony or terrace, allow time to use it. A suite upgrade contributes little when the itinerary takes you away from breakfast until bedtime. For a shorter visit, compare whether more room space or another night is the better use of the budget.
Distinguish the restaurants
The hotel’s dining page identifies AniMare at Casa Pestagua and Alma at its sister hotel, Casa San Agustín. Those are separate dining choices. A bedroom reservation does not establish a table at either. Celele, linked below, is another independent option in Getsemaní; arrange its reservation and journey separately from the stay.
Confirm the arrival and final total
Ask which services your rate covers, how early arrival works and whether the room meets your access needs. Compare extra-bed requirements directly with the hotel instead of relying only on a maximum occupancy label. Check cancellation terms for your dates. The accommodation map below offers comparison options; it does not guarantee a particular suite or include the hotel’s meals and experiences.
