Jet Set LatAM · Designer Hotels and Quiet Luxury
On a quiet Miraflores street near Huaca Pucllana, Atemporal Lima occupies a 1940s house that feels more like a friend’s home than a hotel. It comes from the same creative team behind Hotel B in Barranco and Titilaka on Lake Titicaca — Ignacio and Sandra Masías with Jordi Puig — and was conceived as the home of a globetrotting photographer just back from a trip.
A boutique hotel in Miraflores with a story
The house was reimagined in 2015 and refreshed in 2022, keeping its original architecture while mixing antiques, modern furniture and made-to-measure pieces. There is a salon, a veranda, a terraced garden and an open house kitchen where guests help themselves to coffee, drinks and whatever was baked that day. With only a handful of rooms, it feels like a private home: only guests and their invitees use the spaces.
Quiet luxury, Lima style
Atemporal doesn’t compete on size or facilities; it competes on attention. Personal service, reading corners, bicycles for the neighborhood and a glass of wine as the afternoon fades. It is the kind of hotel where luxury means never having to ask twice.
Lima on foot, slowly
Start at Huaca Pucllana, a few steps away, then walk to the Miraflores malecón to see the Pacific from the cliffs. Give an afternoon to Barranco — galleries, MATE and the Bridge of Sighs — and save a night for one of the city’s great tables. Lima is a food capital: plan your day around meals, not the other way around.
Who Atemporal is for
Travelers who prefer a house with character to a chain hotel, and anyone wanting a calm city pause before Cusco, the Sacred Valley or Lake Titicaca. On Tripadvisor it is listed as Atemporal by Andean.
What to pack for Lima
Lima has coastal mist and cool evenings much of the year. Our ShopMy edit:
- Fells Andes Oona alpaca throw — Andean alpaca for the sofa or the plane
- Wool & Oak compression packing cubes — for multi-stop Peru trips
- Cashmere travel wrap — Lima evenings get cool
How to book Atemporal Lima
December to April is Lima’s summer, with sunshine and clearer skies; the rest of the year brings coastal haze. With few rooms, book early and ask about the larger categories if you plan to stay several nights.
