Designer Stephany Sensi launched Sensi Studio in 2010 as a design and product laboratory. After studying fashion design and brand management at Istituto Marangoni in Milan and working with Tomas Maier in Miami, she returned to an Ecuadorian craft vocabulary with a modern, fashion-forward eye.
The house’s genuine Panama hats, woven bags and accessories are handmade in Ecuador in collaboration with women artisans across the Andean region. The label says its work supports fair remuneration and the continuation of the millenary craft of weaving toquilla straw.
