A city stay with a material thread: stone on the first day, fiber on the second, and a long lunch between the looking and the shopping.

Day one, morning: read the city in stone
Begin around the Plaza de Armas and look closely at the sillar architecture described by Peru Travel. Choose a few buildings to study rather than treating the center as a race between photographs.
Pause for a drink or an early meal before the day’s principal interior visit. If arrival timing is uncertain, leave this morning flexible and move the reserved activity to a day when you can arrive without rushing.
Day one, afternoon: make Santa Catalina the anchor
Santa Catalina’s official site lists the monastery at Santa Catalina 301 and provides current visiting and ticket information. Reserve enough of the afternoon for the spaces and collection to hold your attention.
Check available access arrangements directly if stairs or uneven surfaces affect your plans. Finish with a simple meal nearby rather than adding another district merely because it appears on a list. You can investigate the food guide’s market option earlier in the day if the timing suits.
Day two, morning: textiles before shopping
Mundo Alpaca, at Av. Juan de la Torre 101 in San Lázaro, describes fiber preparation, textile interpretation and a Sol Alpaca boutique. Visit with questions about the material and construction before deciding what to buy.
Ask which demonstrations are available that day. The venue’s general description is not a personal appointment, and the commercial setting does not make every item a piece bought directly from its individual maker.
Day two, lunch and afternoon: Yanahuara
Arrange the move to Yanahuara as a separate part of the day. Choose a picantería lunch after checking current service, then consider the viewpoint if conditions and your energy suit. La Nueva Palomino is the named research lead in the companion food guide.
There is no need to turn the return journey into a shopping sprint. If a garment from the morning stayed in your mind, decide after lunch whether it fills a real gap in your wardrobe.

Buy a piece you will use
Read the fiber-composition label, examine seams and ask about washing, repairs and returns. Take a photograph of the label and receipt for your own records. Compare garments with similar composition before comparing price alone; softness is not a substitute for a clear label.
Use this as a flexible two-day outline. Exact walking times and map pins have not been verified, and no quarry excursion or hands-on craft workshop is silently included. Save additional regional experiences for additional time.
Plan the stay around your day
Choose the neighborhood first, then compare rooms and cancellation terms. For a guided outing, check the meeting point and what is included.
